The Great Gatsby.

I am pretty sure I was supposed to read this book in school. I always some how got out of reading the school assigned books. High School, even Junior High, was such a blur. I am almost positive I made it through by looking up chapter summaries on Spark Notes. Or by getting extra credit for writing assignments. I loved writing. Having the choice to put words where I wanted. The thought of having to read a book just because someone wanted me to just never intrigued me. At all. But when I started to see the trailers for The Great Gatsby I started to wish that I had read the book. As an adult I see a little more clearly (yes just a little) as to why they assigned us these books to read. They had messages of some sort. It was to get people to read and grow.

Well, I never read the book. We did just see the movie. It was a good movie. Put together so nicely with such great camera work. But damn, what a sad story! Gatsby, so in love with a woman that he'd do anything! And she? So selfish. So materialistic. Very sad and tragic.

Movie Theatre Terror / Limbo Weekend

I'm in limbo.

Basically meaning I feel weird because today was Monday.

The first day back from the weekend.

But I don't work tomorrow.

So it's kinda like a Friday.

So I am posting about my weekend but I sort of feel like it is the weekend.

Ya hurr me?

Anywaysssss...

My weekend was gureat.

Friday night J-bag went and saw Batman at... get this.. 11:25 PM!!

I was petrified of 2 things:

1. He wouldn't make it home

2. I'd be home alone till like 3 AM.

We both survived. Thank the heavens.

I don't know how I used to sleep alone every night alone when he was working grave yards. It's scary!

Saturday Jordan AND myself went to see Batman during the day time.

I was scared the whole time. Keeping my eye on the exit and entrance the entire time.

Looking out for suspicious behavior.

But other than that the movie was actually really good!

Remember how I said my desire was low to see it?

Well I'm glad I did. By far my favorite Batman to this day.

 Plus I just Love JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT.

(I wanna watch 500 Days of Summer tonight!)

Later Saturday, we went to see Jordan's friend Paul Sheffield perform at Wiseguys comedy club.

We stopped at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for some yummy treats.

We had a lot of fun. It was a cute little date time.

Sunday we played kick ball with my familia.

Then later my sissy and her fiance came over and hung out for a little bit.

AND we put handles on our cabinets! Yaye!!

We still have more to do but we got started and I love how it adds just a little sum-in sum-in!

Sunday night we also watched the new episode of Breaking Bad in our bed together.

These little moments are what I look forward to.

Weekend Review

Avengers:
It was awesome BUT we were in the FRONT row! haha. Which gave my neck a little of a cramp, but it was free so can't complain too much. Also came with free drinks and popcorn!

Home:
I painted our accent wall in our living room! I'm going to upload some pic's to show you, I didnt know if I liked it, it wasnt the right shade of Teal, however, it's growing on me for sure! I also got some cutie patootie stuff for our bathroom! Pictures to come soon!

5 Year Engagement:
Me and the Husband went and saw this Saturday. I enjoyed it. Pretty funny :)

Family:
My father-in-law had a bday party Sunday night. Nothing better than time with family, and cake!

The Vow:
Comes out on DVD/Blu Ray tomorrow. I will be purchasing.

Sentsy:
I have a party to go to Thursday. I've never used this stuff. Do you? Should I purchase?

Brilliant Idea:

Put old letters and notes into a book.

STOKED

Do you know that my husband and I work together?
I am not sure if I have mentioned it before.
When he first applied people were like:
"wont that be weird"
"are you sure that's a good idea"

You know things like that. Which it can be scary, to see each other all day. However even though we work together, at the same company, we dont see each other much. Unless we voluntarily go to each others desks to visit. :)



I actually enjoy it! We save a lot of money on gas carpooling. He makes my mornings and after noon drives much more enjoyable. Traffic sucks, but when you have a buddy there its not as bad.

There is one flaw in this though! Before he started, I was a pretty cool kitty. Errrbody was like "Oh Allie? Yeah she's the bomb dot com" And its PROBABLY the main reason he got the job.

BUT now everyones like "ALLIE who??? Oh JORDAN'S wife?? That's cool, I guess." Meaning that everyone just thinks he's very cool. Cooler than me! Weird right? haha.

Anyways, it paid off today! Because the manager of our whole department hooked him up with Avengers tickets tomorrow and said Jordan and myself can take off early to go see it!!!!

AHH! Hurray!

So we're getting off at 2:00 tomorrow and the movie starts at 2:30. Its Jeans day so we will already be in the appropriate "movie" attire. It comes with free drinks AND popcorn! I am SO SO SO STOKED!

Can't hide the excitement.

New Couch Pillows!

At one point in time my accent color in our living room was red.

I slowly started trying to add a little more color.

Then the accent changed more to a teal color.

However, I always had the red couch pillows sittin around.

I was going to just get new pillow cases for them, but didnt find any I liked.

So yesterday I saw these other pillows that matched perfectly.

Had to get them!

Friday night Jordan and I went to California Pizza Kitchen to celebrate Jordan's BF Derricks Birthday. After we went to Baskin Robins and I got Reeses Iceceam. Such a delicious night!

Saturday I went with my BF Gina and her baby girl to do a little shopping. Picked up my pillows. Then went bowling with Jordan's work friends.

Sunday we went and saw 21 Jump Street, pretty funny. Hung home, then went to Jordans parents for an early Easter dinner.

Me and Jordan have never gotten each other Easter baskets. But this year, in our house, I kinda want to. Do you and your honey get each other Easter baskets? I mean if you don't have kids?

Do you think The Lucky One looks good?

Free-Day

I'm going to be doing my very first give away soon! EEK! FREE stuff. I'll keep you posted for sure when it begins.

Also, free cause after 5pm I am free for another 2 days. Have to love them weekends. Also have to love having a good steady job, but you know what I mean. Breaks are nice.
